Favorite Star Trek Movie

In keeping with the science fiction theme today, here’s a question for everyone. What was your favorite Star Trek film? I’ve got to say that I liked a few of them, but the one that I enjoyed the most was Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991).

Now how can you beat that?

  1. I agree. It’s one of the best Star Trek movies that came out. But the recent “reboot” movie has a lot going for it.

    • The new one does have my interest piqued. I’m going to hold out for the sequel before I decide whether I like the route they’ve taken though.

  2. wrath of khan and voyage home for me.

  3. ALL OF THEM. EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM.

Seriously, it’s like asking which book of the bible is the best or which Apostle was the coolest or which of my posts you like the most.

    Geez!

  4. I loved the new one.

I can always watch 2-4, 6. 1 and 5? Nah, not so much.

  5. Tough question. If we’re talking the original crew with Captain Kirk then I like the most recent Star Trek and give Wrath of Khan a close second. If Jean-Luc Picard is heading up the Enterprise then it’s a tossup between Nemesis and Insurrection. But Generations gets an honorable mention for mixing the old crew with the new.

    • Insurrection seemed more like a regular episode (maybe a 2 or 3 part episode) of TNG, so that one kind of bothers me. Nemesis was good, but I preferred Generations and First Contact.

  6. I really wanted a DS9 movie, but alas, I think I might be waiting on that for a while.

  7. First Contact is the best of the STNG ones in my opinion.

  8. They all have their pluses and minuses (well, except for V which is nearly all minus). The first one still captivates me for Jerry Goldsmiths amazing score. But the nod would probably go to Wrath of Khan or Undiscovered Country. Nick Meyer brought a lot to the franchise and he really excelled with those two films. Looking fwd to reading his book soon.

  9. First Contact, of course. Love the Borg.
