Techno Greek

I was searching YouTube videos and came across this one. Although there are some letters that aren’t pronounced correctly, I thought it was pretty cool. So, enjoy this Greek alphabet song.

Sadly, my favorite part is how this song pronounces iota.

  1. I found it strange that Ζ and Η were pronounced the same, but Θ was “thetta.” Hmmm… And the “i-otta” was funny! I don’t I’ve ever heard the Ξ pronounced as “zigh.” To each his own!

  2. That should have been the Ξ pronounced as “zee.”

    • Yes, there are many slight variations on Greek letters. Take X for instance. I’ve heard it pronounced as “kigh” or “key.” Still the pronunciation of iota here is hilarious! I keep thinking of “Why I otta…”

  3. Matt: I’ve heard that regarding the X, too. I pronounce it as “kigh”–it’s just the way I learned it! That “i-otta” is hilarious!
