It’s that time of year again (actually, don’t they have some awards show every other month now?). It’s time for the Academy Awards! Now, I haven’t seen many movies this year. Lack of money can be a bad thing for a movie guy. Oh, well! I’ll catch them eventually.
So, since I’ve not seen many movies this year, why would I watch an awards show honoring them? Simple. I like the performances and the jokes the hosts tell – especially when they can’t read the teleprompter and mess it all up. I don’t always last the entire show, but I do try to catch who wins what, and see what I need to rent and watch at home (whenever the finances are there for that).

My wife and I are getting ready to head to an Academy Awards party complete with a red carpet and paparazzi. Food has to be based on a movie. It’s going to be lots of fun.
