I just spent the past hour or so watching a car chase in and around Dallas. Apparently, this guy ran out on a gas station in Sherman, TX. On his way south a cop tried to stop him, but the guy attempted to run the cop over. So, it was on. For a couple hours cops chased his truck south past Dallas into a rural area near Corsicana. They tried to throw spike strips out and block his way off the interstate. After several attempts one spike strip took out his left rear tire, but still he kept going. He got off in some backwoods road and the cops finally forced him into a ditch.
My question: Why in the world would this guy keep going? He’s got several cop cars all around him and a few helicopters following. He’s got to know he’s not getting away, right? So, why keep going?
